TefShield high performance PTFE insulation jacket materials are designed to control heat gain and loss due to thermal or chemical exposure in industrial applications. Gas and steam turbines, heaters and control valves are typical applications where TefShield insulation jacket materials are suitable.
PTFE coated materials are desired in these applications due to their excellent mechanical strength, high temperature tolerances, minimal vibration fatigue and flexible properties.
TefShield is constructed by laminating a PTFE film coating to one or both sides of fiberglass fabric . The composition of insulation jacket materials will depend on the demands of the specific application.
