During PVC window and door frame fabrication, heated plates melt the angled edges of vinyl extrusions before the profiles are pressed together to form the final joint.
Taconic PTFE coated materials act as a durable nonstick barrier between the heated platen and the PVC profile, helping operators maintain cleaner plate surfaces, reduce sticking, and improve weld consistency.
