PTFE coated fiberglass tapes and fabrics act as a cost-effective release surface for hand lay-up and open mold composite processes. Flexible PTFE coated fabric conforms to the mold, while the nonstick coating helps release cleanly from the molded composite part.
PTFE coated tape can also be used to line tooling and complex mold shapes, staying firmly in place while reducing prep time, finish work, cleanup, and the need for waxes or chemical cleaners.
